Your next task might begin as a quick question, grow into a finished deliverable, or need a code-focused space. The new ChatGPT desktop app brings those kinds of work together, but each one starts differently.
In this live Practical AI at Work session, Bill Raymond will tour the new ChatGPT app through one practical question: what are you trying to accomplish, what context does it need, and where will you review the result?
Together, we will use one realistic workplace request to explore:
- Chat for quick questions, thinking, research, and conversation
- Work for longer multi-step tasks and reviewable deliverables
- Codex when the work calls for building or improving software
- Plugins when a workflow may benefit from additional skills or connected apps, after you understand the access and approval requirements
You will leave with a simple way to choose Chat, Work, Codex, or a plugin-supported workflow, plus a practical understanding of the new ChatGPT app.
